THE STORY SO FAR...
Da da, da da da da, da da da da! Intro to Sports Center... Something like that... Brian has taken over the lead as the revolving door continues to spin. Jamie is holding on in the Multipliers. We will give you a first hand look at Bad Mom's or it's new title,
Mark's Saving Grace due to open this weekend. Colleen just celebrated a birthday, will Sausage Party make up for a cancel tourney? We are about to enter August, the race to the finish is upon us.
Will all those who had Star Trek please stand up? Or better yet, move to the top of the league! Star Trek almost cracked the $60 million mark allowing Brian to leap frog Jamie taking over first for the Blockbusters. However the revolving door might have a few spins left in her. Brian's last opening is Suicide Squad. Although this is widely held, there are a few other movies left to open.
Brian isn't the only contender for the title. Jamie's fate rests on Pete's shoulders. Although Pete is a dragon, will this classic children's tale manage to hit it big? For Colleen, she needs this to be the most profitable August ever sitting with three openings. By this time of the year people run out of money and families & teenie-boppers start to look to school. In the past August has been filled with horror movies. Foreshadowing.....
Finally, there is Bad Mom's or Mark's "Hail Mary" and I write "Hail Mary" starting with capital letters. We are talking about a big hail mary! Bigger than the 5' something bomb that Doug Flutie threw to win the game. Bigger than LeBron & Cleveland's first ever NBA championship. Bigger than
this. Just running the numbers, it needs to make at least $72 million ... and that doesn't even guarantee a first place. (Just to get pass me!) He called it a sleeper in April. Will it deliver? Will it start off the horror season? We will know in just 5 short days!
