The Call of the Wild propels Rey and Jack to the top in Blockbusters.  Sonic is still the story in Multipliers.  This weekend is a pass with no picks opening.  Onward opens next week, which will be the next big influence on the league.

We are off and running.  Sonic comes up big with an almost $60 million dollar opening.  Blockbusters has a 7 way tie for now.  All picks are in and no one picked the same 10 movies.  The question is, which movie will win it all.  As for the Multipliers, There are no ties after the first weekend.  That hasn't happened for 3 seasons. Did the Mandalorian make the right bet?

We are currently making our way through this Valentine's Day weekend.  For some, this is just the half way point due to President's Day.  Not many jems out there to choose from so this could be a close season.  Who will take it?  Mulan? Bond?  The next Pixar sequel?  A horror sequel?  Orrrr, Sonic which is on pace to make $60 million this weekend.  One of the shortest seasons to date, this one could be close!

And so it begins ...
Congrats to The Mandalorian for taking the Blockbusters just edging out Skywalker.  Coincidentally, Skywalker happened to do just the opposite!  Bit of a crazy season with 1917 and Knives Out scoring big.  Bad Boys still got it coming in 3rd overall.  Not crazy was Star Wars and Frozen 2 smashing the box office bringing home at least a billion for their respective franchises.  All in all it was good season with many lead changes.  The revolving door always makes the league more competitive.  Moving on.

The new season is here and so is Birds of Prey.  Not sure where I stand with this one.  Moving along, the season is short and the movie list is even shorter!  After 1917 cracking the top five, are you more likely to go hunting in the limited release pile?  Watch some trailers and make some picks.
