The results are in and all tickets have been tallied. Well as best they could. The winner is … wait for it … Colleen in the ‘Overall’
and ‘The Others’ and Jeff (me) in the ‘Blockbusters’. Congrats Colleen! Colleen can contribute her win to just one
movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
TBEMH came up big in the ‘The Others’ division earning way more than
any other movie. This was enough to make
up the difference she was behind Jeff (me again) in the ‘Blockbusters’.
Wait, that’s not right? She was behind in the ‘Blockbusters’
division? How can it be? Did the replacement refs blow another
call? Well, if you would recall that
back in June, G.I. Joe sent the league into a tizzy moving their release
date back to March. Something needed to
be done to keep the league competitive. The
final verdict was to subtract everyone’s lowest movie and just go with 9 in the
totals. This allowed for Jeff (yet
again, me) to move in front of Colleen in the ‘Blockbusters’ division by just
over a million. Sorry, no sweep for you.
