Spring is here!

The story so far ...
The temperatures have reached the 70s!  Spring League is in the books.  Kevin takes the Blockbusters but loses the Multiplier in the final weeks.  In a season that was completely dominated by just one movie, a bit surprised it wasn't closer at the end.  Congrats go out to Mark and Kevin.  Is there a repeat in their future?

Up next, summer league!  Picks are not due for another week and a half, but Avengers comes out this week.  If you are wondering why it is included, don't lose too much sleep.  I am a comic book fan.  Summer looks to be exciting with lots of sequels set to break blockbuster records.  May is around the corner, let's do this!

The final standings are ...

They're back ....

The story so far ...
Here we stand on the doorstep of the final weekend of Spring League.  Kevin has a comfortable lead in the Blockbusters.  Super Troopers 2 will need to rake in just under $50 million in order for Mark to take the top spot.  Over in the Multipliers, Mark passed Kevin this past week and now just has a $6 million lead.  This is the closet it's ever been. So the question is, can the comedy troupe take down Jim?  Have you ever seen 'The Office', it's good!

Get your picks in, two more weeks!  With The Avengers staying in, who do you cut?

I think it's a quiet league ...

The story so far ...
Kevin scores big with the sleeper hit A Quiet Place.  Debuting at $50 million, it's one of the top movies this year.  Kevin now has a commanding in both the Blockbusters and Multiplier.  Rampage which is widely held comes out this week so there won't be much change.  However, Super Troopers comes out the following week which will determine the winner.  It's been a long wait for the sequel.  Can the boys from Rhode Island move across the border to make another hit?

Ready Player Two....

The story so far ...
Chuck takes over the top spot!  The War with Grandpa pushed back it's opening and hello Alternate #2.  This is the second time Chuck has had to dip into his alternates with Show Dogs moving their release date to May.

The impact of this move was pretty big! A Quiet Place and Super Troopers 2 needed just $10 million to claim the top spot.  Now they are up to $20 million.  With the way this spring is going, opening weekend box office returns are struggling with clearing the $20 million mark.

Over in the Multipliers, Ready Player One puts Mark just under $800,000 back of Kevin.  Each are with two movies and it just comes down to whether the couple of John & Emily can take out the Broken Lizard Club.
