Moana comes up big and rewards those for picking it.  Faith plummets and Jeff moves in to 1st place for the Multipliers.  Chuck continues his hold on first for the Blockbusters.  However, with only 2 movies left and 2 months left in the season, better hope the remaining openings falter a bit. December is here which means Christmas is here.  But more importantly, Star Wars is here...almost...just 3 weeks...c'mon already!

Holiday weekend, the first of four, is upon us.  Will the early start for some hurt their totals?  Will families stay home and eat ALL weekend?  Will the deals be too attractive to leave the stores?  All these questions and more will be answered in the next letter!

The wait is over, Potter is here, sort of.  The question is, will it be a box off success?  Which started out as a trilogy, expanded to five will now see if it can get past one.  Avoiding the Tuesdays opening and a holiday weekend,  Fantastic Beasts look to put a stamp on our league and continue drawing hordes to the box office this season.  Looking at this year's picks, the league was split down the middle as to which would make more between Beasts and Doctor Strange.   Strange's opening of $85 is impressive.  Side bets anyone?

The story so far ...
Last week was one of the lowest weekend box office totals since the middle of September.  This weekend box office totals were the highest since the beginning of August.  What does that mean for us?  Nothing, just filler in a random letter.  Look I am up to five sentences already!  Actually, now I have five sentences and one question.

In our league, Chuck and Ned hold on in the Blockbuster while Mark catapults to the top of the Multipliers.  Could he be the first back to back winner of any division in Movie League? It's really too early to tell.  The holidays are rapidly approaching. Let's hope it stays warm, game on!

Do you know what is more interesting than 'Inferno'?  Apparently, Halloween since there could be no other exclamation for why Inferno made less than $15 million opening all by it's self.  Anybody else have any ideas?  Unless you had something to do with this Colleen...  Theaters will look to bounce back with Doctor Strange, Trolls and Hacksaw Ridge opening this weekend!
