The finish is here.

THE STORY SO FAR...
Yes the last three weeks were anti-climatic with no one picking any of the movies.  Essentially, Mark & Jeff have been on what may seem like a never ending victory lap.  Don't fret and just ignore them because guess what?  The Holiday Season starts up in just a little over a month from now.

Thanks for playing along and please let me know your ideas on how to make the league even better!  Really starting to think that we need to get the traveling trophy's up and running again. Still working on the spreadsheet/database so that we can compare seasons.  Did you know as far as the league results that this was the second highest season for Blockbuster.  Yeah, no kidding despite Alice.  C'mon Alice...

In upcoming weeks you will receive the list of movies coming out for the holiday season.  Right now the dates are looking from October 21st to January 29th.  Again I will have you pick & rank your top fifteen movies. So sit back and enjoy Magnificent Seven and The Girl on the Train while you wait.  Soon cooler temps are the norm, kids dressed as goblins parading through the streets, and arm chairs across the country getting a work over especially on Sundays.

September 2nd

THE STORY SO FAR...
The final weekend has arrived.  Labor Day Weekend is upon us.  Football is all around and soon so will be leaves. As we approach the holiday weekend, let's look back at some of summer's biggest winners and of course a couple of losers.  Thanks EW!  Great, short article in the September 2nd issue.

First of all, superheroes and villains are not going anywhere anytime soon.  Captain America, Suicide Squad and the X-Men all scored big this past summer.  Cartoons did well too with Finding Dory raking in the big bucks.  The Secret Life of Pets didn't do too shabby either.  Finally, Kevin Hart continues to keep churning out decent box office openings while low-budget horror flicks continue to roll.

The biggest loser of the summer just happened to be the Ghostbusters making a sequel doubtful.  I liked it however the masses did not. Pretty sure, the massive budget loss is becoming quite hard to ignore when pitching the next one.  "Sure things" weren't successful either.  Spielberg and Depp had low openings despite coming from known sources.  Remakes didn't fair much better with Tarzan and Ben-Hur falling flat.

Fall is here and up next is the Holiday Season.  Summer is over and if you didn't win, there is a new season on the horizon!
