August 26th

THE STORY SO FAR...
Yes, there were no changes in the league this week.  Sadly Ben-Hur flopped at the box office.  Even more sad, this doesn't prevent me from putting it in my Netflix queue.  As the season starts to wind down and Memorial Day approaches, you might start thinking about redemption in the Holiday Season ... just saying.

Not much of a sausage party...

THE STORY SO FAR...
The estimates are in and looks like Sausage Party and Pete's Dragon are falling far from the $130 million needed to make Colleen the winner.  With no more picks yet to release it looks like the "revolving door" has finally come to a rest.  Over half the league led at some point in the last month and a half. Jeff takes the Blockbuster and Mark comes away with the Multiplier.

Eventually there will be an over all spreadsheet so that seasons can be compared.  Despite the league not changing there will still be a letter over the remaining weeks.  Starting in September, you will start to hear news of the Holiday Season.  All are welcome back!

The squad delivers...

THE STORY SO FAR...
Jeff keeps his lead while Colleen plummets.  With most of the league "all in", we are now just waiting on a couple of openings to finish the season off.  Hey, guess what?  They both open this weekend.

So here is the breakdown.  Jeff wins if the Sausage Party and Pete's Dragon combine to make less than $138.8  Colleen wins if they combine to make more than $138.8.  Jamie can take second if Pete's Dragon makes over $184 millions.

Suicide Squad upset the league causing the revolving door to spin quite violently.  There was a whole shake up in the Multipliers as members struggled to decide on a rank.  Typically August struggles at the box office however Bourne and the Squad are making August very lucrative this summer.

Bourne is still kicking butt

THE STORY SO FAR...
Question: Can Suicide Squad out earn Pete's Dragon and Sausage Party?  This past weekend, Jeff and Colleen moved into 1st and 2nd respective with an almost $60 million opening.  Jeff is counting on DC coming through while Colleen is going with the classic children's tale and the adult cartoon.

The revolving door has featured have the league claiming the top spot for at least one week in the past month.  We are in the final month of the season, the home stretch, has the fat lady begun the sing.  We will know in 2 weeks!
