Video Game movies are no Comic Book movies...

This is it, the final weekend!  Can Mother's Day make, oh lets just say $100 million at the box office? Nothing changes much if it does.  Looks like John is going to pull this one out in a very close race.  It was truly a battle to the finish.  You may now proceed to take your victory lap John.  What's that John? You need somebody to take it for you.  Maybe your 3D tv with the room size couch can help you!

Looking a head to next week, Summer league starts.  I have received no picks as of right now so it looks like I am going to win, finally!  Picks are due on May 6th.  The same as Spring League, pick and rank your top 15 movies based on opening weekends. The season starts on the first weekend of May and finishes on Labor Day. I sent out the list but let me know if there are any problems.  Happy hunting.

DC is back! ...sort of...

Please forgive the lateness of the letter.  Internet has been spotty over the course of the last few days.  Not even sure why it is working right now other than "time heals all."

Batman vs Superman was a success! Well, at least for the first weekend. As we enter April, the league continues to be a battle.  John takes over the top spot. At least this season, Mark won't have to wait till the last weekend!  With John, Mark, & Ned all having The Jungle Book, it boils down to this.  John wins if The Huntsman fails to make $30.8 million.  I believe this to be the best scenario.  However there are a couple of other ways this could play out.  Colleen is truly a shot in the dark.  She needs The Boss and the Barbershop combine openings to make $58 million. Jeff's shot in the dark with a slingshot needs The Jungle Book to fall flat on it's face and the Barbershop and The Huntman to not only make up the $32.7 million that he is behind plus The Jungle Book but also for the Barbershop to make $2 million more than The Jungle Book. Man this is starting to sound like the NFL Playoffs.  Ah heck, just go out and throw tons of TDs so I can win my fantasy league...
