The League becomes stagnant …

Another weekend is in the books.  As expected, Batman steamrolled the competition.  Although I did hear The Watch is funny from a few sources.  With only Ruby Sparks opening among picked movies there wasn’t much movement throughout the divisions.  Beth gained on Chuck’s fourth place position in ‘The Rest’ division.

Coming out this weekend are another addition to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise and the remake of Total Recall. Question: will Batman affect these ticket sales as well?  We are entering the last month of the season.  Only a couple movies left to be entered and Colleen has a firm hold on first!

It’s a draw ...

Despite the tragedy on Thursday, Batman has the third biggest opening ever.  Of course I believe that this was helped in part to higher ticket prices along with opening on a few IMAX screens. My condolences go out to those families who were touched by this awful event.  It saddens me when one person feels the need to acts in such a manner.    

Out this week are Set Up Revolution and The Watch.  Something tells me they are going to be snowballed by Batman.  I mean, it is Batman!

Coming up on the home stretch ...

As you all know already, Batman comes out this week.  This should significantly bump up all our scores!  However, nothing should change in the standings.  Also coming out this week is The Well-Digger's Daughter. 

In the currently standings, Colleen is still holding on strong however there has been some movement.  Chuck continues to hold on while Jeff and Brett are moving up.
